our "family"

Okay, so most of you that know our family know that John John (the 14 yr old) has a best friend named Fabian.  Well, Fabian practically lived with us over the summer and spends every weekend here (Friday - Sunday) now that school's started back.  We joked over the summer that he has become part of our family. Tonight, John went in to tell Jordyn goodnight and they were discussing their evening.  John took them out because I had plans at the house.  He was telling her how much fun he had and how he loves spending time with the family and how glad he was that the family could spend time together tonight.  Jordyn says, "Daddy, our whole family was not together tonight."  John says, "Well mommy was home with her friends but what do you mean, Riley (the dog)?"  Jordyn, "No daddy, Fabian wasn't with us!", very serious.
The things that go through my daughters head?!?!  Hilarious!!
Just to brag for a moment...  I went to Jordyn's class yesterday to watch her do a presentation;  her teacher was telling me about the class starting vocabulary words and how it was gonna work.  She informed me that Jordyn is on the last list for first grade!!  First week of vocab, if Jordyn passes her test this week she'll be done with "first grade" vocab and moving on to "second grade" vocab!!!  So proud of her!!!!
Anyway, that's about it for tonight I guess!  We'll see what happens next....  Until then, peace out!

and so it begins...

So, I've been reading and researching friends blogs for a few years now; thinking how I'd like to start one but who in the world would care or read it.  Well, I've decided to try it and see what happens... so here goes.  Some posts may be serious, some may be silly, some may be just a little of this and a little of that; I can promise, however, that it will most always be about my heart which in the past 14 years has grown 6 feet and walks outside of my body.
Anywho, tata for now!  I'm sure by the end of the week there will be something worth telling you!! (After all, between my husband and my children, there's never a dull moment around here!)
